Christianity is a taught religion (John 6:44). All preachers are teachers, and all churches are schools. Some suggest that 85% of conversions come through the Sunday School, so expertise in this area brings dividends in both evangelism and edification. Wendell Winkler believed in a boys’ training classes, and a number of young men who were in his classes later became preachers and church workers.
